Skunk Kush is a rather special strain which was born from generation after generation of cross-breeding which gives the strain its rather unique character. This strain, as may be suggested by its moniker, is a hybrid of pure Afghani Hindu Kush and the always popular Skunk #1. The dense, dark and coriaceous foliage is a clear sign of the Afghanica influence, however the strain also displays the sheer energy and height, usually growing to one and a half times its vegetated size during the blooming period, are attributes which clearly come from the Skunk parent. One characteristic that this strain is noted for is its impressive bud formation. An amazing flowering structure, in which the buds are said to closely resemble bunches of grapes, are extremely reminiscent of the original Skunk genetic line. One of the most amazing aspects of these buds is the fact that growers can actually observe their change in colour and size as it nears its harvesting time. The scent of this plant is a dark and yet citrus like one with an almost menthol finish that really opens up the sinuses. The effect is one of the most powerful from the Afghani line with a dreamy, light and yet extremely potent result.
This strain can be purchased in feminised or regular form which shows once again that Sensi wishes to cater to everyone in the eclectic mix that is cannabis growing culture. These particular seeds are regular which simply means that they will grow into a combination of male and female plants. The split is often slightly heavier on the side of the female plants, perhaps roughly 60/40. For breeders regular seeds are by far the most intelligent option as they provide the male plants necessary for fertilisation. The males produce a pollen which is used to fertilise the females and create the seeds for the next crop. This method of breeding is so popular because of the selectivity which can be employed by the breeder. They, at their discretion, can select the finest male and the finest female to pass on their genetic material. This means that they have a greater level of control over their next crop both in uniformity and in quality. This also means that the plants will only improve throughout the generations.
The flowering period of Skunk Kush is a mere 50 - 60 days and it thrives in a temperate or continental environment. It is a plant with average height and a large yield which is 40% Sativa and 60% Indica.
