This strain is yet another phenomenal hybrid born from the Jack Herer breeding program. One of Sensi's more recent ventures, Mother's Finest was an instant hit and won first place in the Sativa category at the 2002 Cannabis Cup just a few months after it was created. This strain is a distinctly more Haze like product of the Herer breeding and, just like Jack Flash, it is a way of fine-tuning a specific section of Jack Herer's eclectic gene pool. Since the original Herer strain is a perfect Sativa Indica split and Mother's finest sits at the Haze end of the spectrum with her light, cerebral effects and sweet-sour flavour. Even though Mother's Finest is a Haze hybrid its flowering time is considerably shorter than other Haze-dominant strains. The strain gains height quickly but if flowered early can be kept at a reasonable height.
These seeds have been kept in their regular seed form, like many of Sensi Seeds products, as it ensures that its gene pool remains pure. Regular seeds are still greatly preferred by many growers and breeders, even though they are now largely ignored by seed banks everywhere who have taken greatly to producing feminised or auto-flowering seeds. Regular seeds have a lot of excellent traits such as their resilience. Many people that have attempted to reintroduce cannabis into the wild have used regular seeds, they can grow, survive, and breed on their own. For breeders regular seeds are also the best and simplest way to go. Regular seeds grow into a roughly 50/50 split of male and female seeds which means that the breeder has a greater level of choice when selecting parent plants. This gives the breeder a lot more control when it comes to deciding the quality of their next crop as they can choose the best male and the best female to pass on their genes. Over the generations this level of quality and uniformity will only increase.
Mother's Finest has a short flowering period of just 50 - 70 days, it is 70% Sativa, and it thrives in sunny or Mediterranean environments. Another triumph in breeding from the people at Sensi Seeds.
