Himalaya Blue Diesel (also known as HBD) is a unique strain created by crossing Short Stuff's Blue Himalaya with New York City Diesel. Blue Himalaya is an auto-flowering indica-dominant plant that combines Nepalese Kush with a Blueberry hybrid, resulting in a resinous strain with a pleasant blueberry scent. Short Stuff then crossed this strain with New York City Diesel to enhance its potency and add a spicy kick, and the outcome exceeded their expectations.
The plant produces compact, chunky buds that often exhibit blue or purple hues towards the end of the flowering stage. While it can grow taller than Blue Himalaya, reaching heights of 70-80cm, most specimens will be around 50-60cm and can yield 1-2 ounces of high-quality buds. Himalaya Blue Diesel belongs to Short Stuff's "Next generation" auto-flowering strains. It retains the auto-flowering traits of the original Lowryder-style strains, transitioning from seed to bud in approximately 70 days.
