Morocco Beldia Kif is a renowned variety of cannabis seeds from the Rif region in Morocco, specifically near Ketama and Chefchaouen. It is well-known for its production of kif, a traditional blend of cannabis flowers and tobacco, as well as the famous Moroccan blond hashish.
This particular strain is one of the quickest-acting sativa land-races in the world, thanks to its semi auto-flowering characteristics and short flowering period. Traditionally, it is sown in the beginning of spring, starts flowering in June, and can be harvested as early as August. After harvest, the flowers are processed and beaten by hand to create the traditional Moroccan hashish, which varies in quality depending on the grade of the sieve and the duration of beating.
Moroccan plants are typically small to medium in size. Initially, they have wide leaves, but as they reach sexual maturity and begin flowering, they transform into pure sativa plants with foxtail-like floral structures. These structures quickly accumulate to form well-sized buds. There are two main phenotypes based on their structure. The more common phenotype grows tall and columnar, while the second phenotype is smaller, shorter, and more branched.
In their native environment, these plants are cultivated at a high density, with minimal fertilizer and water. This has resulted in their excellent resistance to heat and drought. They thrive with little care and low levels of nutrients, making them an ideal choice for outdoor guerrilla growing in hot and dry climates.
