The Indica-dominant Sweet Cherry Pie is the offspring of a cross between two highly regarded American strains: Cherry Pie (Grand Daddy Purple x Durban Poison) and Gelato (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Cookies).
Due to the Grand Daddy Purple genetic background of the original Cherry Pie strain, some Sweet Cherry Pie plants can put on a colourful display of red and purple colours in the later stages of flowering.
Both indoor and outdoor growing of these plants is highly successful. Eight to nine weeks after flowering, indoor growers can expect a yield of 400 to 550 gr/m2. Each outdoor-grown Sweet Cherry Pie plant in the Northern Hemisphere can produce 350–600 grammes of fruit at the end of September.
Dried buds are dense and compact, packed with a lot of THC-rich resin. The aroma and taste are very sweet and fruity, like a freshly baked cherry pie, with hints of cherries, earthy forest fruits, and a tang of acidity, befitting the strain's name.
CBD is at 0.5% and THC ranges from 18-25%. This effect is extremely potent, but it is also well-balanced between physical relaxation and mental stimulation, making it useful even for the creative types among you.
