In the 1980s, the SSSC conducted research on a type of cannabis called Williams Wonder, which was an indica strain. It was an interesting strain for study, sometimes showing autoflowering characteristics, which was uncommon at the time. Autoflower seeds require careful research, as there are many low potency varieties available. However, there have been some exceptional autoflower genetics developed recently.
After studying autoflower breeding, the SSSC worked on creating Auto Creeper, which they believe offers a new approach to autoflower strains. When the SSSC was re-established, they knew they needed a high-quality autoflower variety for their seed collection. Auto Creeper was created from scratch using THC-rich genetics from the photoperiod Creeper sativa, and the autoflowering characteristics were added using the original Williams Wonder seeds.
It took over three years of effort and back crossing to achieve the desired quality. Auto Creeper typically grows to around a meter in height with extensive side branches. It takes about 12 to 13 weeks from seed to harvest, sometimes a bit longer for higher yielding plants. The buds resemble sativa flowers, long and stretchy, with some indica-shaped leaves from the Williams Wonder heritage. However, the smell and effects are true sativa.
It's important to remember that Auto Creeper is an autoflower strain and will determine its own growth. As a grower, your role is to provide care and be humble. Transplanting this strain is not recommended, as its roots are highly sensitive. It should be planted directly into its final growing container. Auto Creeper thrives in warm, sunny climates with plenty of light outdoors. Indoors, providing 20 hours of daily light is ideal, but it can also finish under 12 hours of daily light if necessary, although this may result in smaller size and yields.
