The Botafumeiros Feminised strain was created from a primarily Sativa gene pool. It has a slightly longer flowering period but the rapid growth of the strain largely makes up for the wait.
This strain is also extremely popular for its large yields and it is thick buds which completely envelop the branches and continue to grow during each week of the flowering period.
This high bud production comes from the Sativa side of the strain's genetics as does the large amount of resin that covers the buds. The scent is spicy-sweet and the effect is a lively and energetic one which makes it ideal for medicinal users.
This can be used effectively as a pain killer without causing the sufferer to lose all drive and focus. This plant is resistant to fungus and so can easily be grown outdoors in a humid climate without risk.
Feminised seeds are extremely popular amongst modern growers as they are user-friendly and higher in uniformity and quality, they are more reliable than regular seeds.
Many growers have no need for the male plants as their only purpose is to create the pollen necessary for fertilisation. If the pollen isn't needed for breeding the male plants simply take up space and money that could be used on females.
Breeders can also use these seeds, however, since if the plants are properly treated they can produce the same pollen as the males. This can be used to fertilise the females and create seeds, these seeds are likely to be more uniform than those created by a male and a female plant.
However, for those growers who do not need the male plants they will find growing wit feminised seeds far easier. For a start there is no time wasted removing the male plants from the crop, and they will save money.
This is because using feminised seeds means that they need only buy half the amount of seeds that they would if they were using regular seeds.
This strain can grow up to an impressive 3 meters in height, has an indoor yield of 400 - 600 g/m2 and an outdoor yield of 400 - 800 g/plant. The flowering period is 10 weeks and it should be harvested in mid - late October.
Please remember that the growing of cannabis plants and the cultivation of seeds is illegal in some countries - please check the laws of your country and don't be growing any plants if it is against your country's laws
