Throughout the years, cannabis fans have found new and exciting ways to improve a high. A lot of these tricks involve eating or drinking something alongside your weed to improve the stone. There are also a few different ingestion methods you can use that may have a better effect than regular smoking. Of course, all of these depend on the individual body but they are certainly worth trying out. 

 

Get The Blood Pumping

 

Certain strains of weed come highly recommended for exercising. Not only can some strains be great for getting the most from your workout, but your workout can help you get the most out of your weed. Studies have shown that 30 minutes of cardio immediately after smoking can substantially increase the THC levels in your blood. The increase can be as much as 15%, so you can get even higher while also getting fit and healthy. Then of course after your work out you can give in to the munchies without feeling as guilty. 

 

Mango

 

Myrcene is a chemical found in mangos that also contains terpenes, just like those found in weed. This means that when you smoke weed and eat mango together it will increase the hit of the THC. It may also increase the length of the high, but it very much depends on the individual. Some believe that you need to eat the mango about an hour before you smoke in order to get the best results. 

 

Dark Chocolate

 

This is another fun snack you can eat to improve the high and length of your weed. The cocoa in dark chocolate is a great way of breaking down the fatty acid that binds to the brain’s THC receptors. This fatty acid is called anandamide and does actually cause a happy reaction without any help from weed. When the two are ingested together it can improve the high. 

 

Concentrates

 

This is a much more simple way to increase your high, simply by using cannabis concentrates. Concentrates are usually stronger and more potent than normal cannabis. This can be hash, oils, wax, and a variety of other extracts. They can be smoked, vaped or ingested and will have a higher and more isolated amount of THC than buds. This also allows connoisseurs to taste all of the unique terpenes in the strain while getting them significantly higher. 

 

Grind It Well 

 

This may seem obvious but if you want to get the most out of your weed you’ll need to use a good grinder. Ensuring your buds are well ground will help them to burn more consistently and evenly. Your other option is cutting the weed up with fine scissors. The best option is likely some super sharp pruning scissors that will slice through the plant with minimum damage. Some experts believe that cutting the weed instead of crushing it will keep the resin intact and increase the potency of the weed. There are also a few grinders that use blades and so slice up the weed instead of smooshing it with the little grinder nubs. This reduces THC loss and should improve the strength of the high. 

 

Have A Beer

 

This also seems obvious but many people believe having a beer when you smoke will improve your high. Ethanol is thought to increase the effects of marijuana in most people. This means you don’t need to get wasted, just a beer should do the trick. This is also why so many people struggle to drink and smoke at the same time because it pushes the effect to a new level. If you are just trying to step things up a level be careful mixing weed and booze, there is a chance it will push you over the edge rather than causing you to have a better time. 

 

Storage

 

Where you store your weed may negatively affect its potency, so this is definitely a good thing to think about. Many of us just leave it in the baggy or in a plastic container. Keeping the weed in plastic may decrease the potency. The best way to store weed is in a metal or glass container, or possibly wood. It’s a good idea to pop in a humidity pack to make sure that the weed doesn’t get dry. Throwing in a fruit peel, usually orange or lime, for a few hours a day can also have the same effect. Storing your weed properly is a great way to improve your experience in the long run. 

 

Take A Break

This is a great way to increase your tolerance if you are having trouble getting high. It is likely your body needs a little break because it’s just too used to smoking. If you are over smoking it will massively reduce what you feel from your high. See if you can take about a month off, or more if you’re feeling it. A month is the minimum it will take for your body to flush out the cannabinoids. Once you have finished your break the first time you get high will be significantly harder hitting. This may not be the nicest way to improve your high but it’s likely the most effective. 

 

Try Edibles

 

Another great way to trick your body is to alter the way you consume weed. Usually, if you smoke or vape then edibles will give you a more intense and lasting high. Edibles are digested and released through your liver, breaking down completely differently to weed that is smoked. It may take longer to settle in but it can last from four to ten hours and is usually a totally different form of high. It is vital that you let them kick in. Some of us who are used to the immediate high of smoking are susceptible to eating a second edible just 20 minutes after the first because it’s “not working”. I can assure you it is definitely working and most of the negative stories from edibles come from accidentally overindulging. Take it slow and enjoy the ride.
