VR gaming is becoming increasingly impressive. At the start, there was a lot to enjoy in the plot free movement game based department. Now there are hundreds of ways to play from your favourite tabletop games to incredible open-world RPGs like Skyrim. Adding weed to that experience may seem a little scary, but many have said they go perfectly together. The visual and sensory aspects of being high suit the virtual reality experience down to the ground. There are even events specifically designed to combine these two recreational giants. One of the primary reasons outside of the sensory business that makes them such a good paring is the relaxation aspect. A lot of people feel they are going to look silly to others when they play a VR game and don’t fully go for it. They found that if they had a smoke beforehand they were much more able to enjoy the experience. Obviously, you will need to think about the type of games that will work for high you. Maybe you want something where there is very little activity and it’s more about the beauty of the virtual world. Maybe you want to stride through valleys fighting dragons and bandits, maybe you’re completely insane and want to skulk through a haunted house with memory loss and a candle. No matter what sort of games you want to virtually experience, there are a few strains that should make it all a lot more fun.
If you are playing something pretty to lift all your brain chemicals then Blood Orange Sorbet is a great shout. It’s a little Indica heavy so not great for games that involve you attacking or moving or any other nonsense. However, it is extremely happy and relaxing so if you want to take a break and totter through a virtual meadow there are few better strains. This strain is a perfect cross between Sorbet and Tangie, both of which are popular strains with gamers. The resin production on this strain is impressive and so is her THC level, so don’t go overboard before immersing yourself. She has a flowering time of 8 weeks and can be grown indoors or outdoors.
This strain is great for pretty much any game as its effects are focused, euphoric, energetic, happy, uplifting and creative. Super Silver Haze can help you get the very most out of your VR experience. This fancy lady has taken the Hight Times Cannabis Cup first place 3 times in a row. This is hardly surprising considering her genetic background which includes Haze, Northern Lights and Skunk #1. Medicinally this strain is recommended for those suffering from stress, pain or depression. Despite Super Silver Haze being the perfect bedfellow to gaming, it is also a powerful strain with 25% THC. I would recommend not going overboard the first time you try it out. This strain has a flowering time of 63 days and can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.
This is a strain similar to the last one but also perfect for VR gaming. Again she is incredibly uplifting, happy and creative with a focused edge that makes her ideal for more intense games. Cinderella 99 is also stimulating and long-lasting so she can pretty much go all night. She’s a Sativa dominant mix of Grapefruit and Pineapple. Many gamers say when they want something to improve their focus they go for a nice bright citric strain. Unsurprisingly the flavour and scent of the strain are deliciously fruity which gives it another welcome dimension over the fantastic effect. Cinderella 99 has a flowering time of 7 – 8 weeks and can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.
For games that involve a high level of concentration, this is the ideal strain. It has a full-body focused high that will help you with a more complicated or timing-based game. This strain is also famous for its flavour profile which is a delicious combination of sweet cookies and orange. This is also a pretty powerful strain that will come at you suddenly. Her THC level is usually 20% or higher so again don’t go overboard before you’re used to being high with the headset on. The final excellent aspect of this strain is the odd sense of full-body comfort. So despite being completely focused your body will flow along with the game perfectly. This means it could be the perfect strain if you did want to attempt one of the many horror games available in VR. Just make sure you have someone with you to rescue you if things get a little over the top. Durban Apricot Sherbert has a flowering time of 63 days and can be grown indoors or outdoors.
Once again we have another perfect VR strain that is simultaneously stimulating, relaxing, motivating and focused. This Sativa dominant strain is great for playing with friends as part of a team. It’ll be easy to focus on tactics and will mean you don’t feel silly if anyone sees you in your headset. Once again this strain is not to be taken lightly with her 25% THC level. I know I’ve said it a bunch already but please, if you haven’t played VR before, don’t smoke your normal amount before having a go. I don’t want to be responsible for a bunch of vomity freakouts. This strain was created by combining two phenomenal parent strains, GG #4 and Amnesia Haze. Medicinally this strain is often used by those who suffer from chronic pain, so can be handy for anyone who doesn’t play active games due to joint or muscle issues. Shogun has a flowering time of 63 – 77 days and can be grown indoors or outdoors.
Be very careful when smoking and playing VR, I suggest if you have never played VR before to do it sober, then a teensy bit high, you can go from there. Happy gaming!
