Barneys Farm Seeds are taking centre stage at The Vault, with four standout Cannabis Seeds joining our latest promotion — and there are a couple of very good reasons to take a closer look.
We have selected two Feminised Seeds and two Auto Seeds from the Barney’s Farm catalogue, covering four very different corners of modern cannabis genetics.
The line-up includes Gary Payton Feminised, Barneys Farm Do Si Dos Feminised, Barneys Farm Gorilla Zkittlez Auto, and Barneys Farm GMO Auto.
Better still, these strains will also appear among our free seed options with qualifying orders, subject to availability.
And because four strains apparently weren’t enough…
We’re also giving one lucky winner the chance to choose 15 FREE Barneys Farm Seeds from one of the four featured strains.
So, which one would make your first pick?
Barneys Farm Seeds: Four Strains at a Glance
Before we get into the story behind each strain, here’s a quick comparison of the four genetics featured in our latest Barneys Farm promotion.
*Barney’s Farm’s current Gary Payton specification table lists 27% THC, although some of the descriptive copy on the breeder’s page references 29%. We have used the figure from the current specification table here.
What stands out most about this line-up is the contrast between the four strains. Each one brings a completely different genetic character to the promotion.
Gary Payton delivers a modern US-inspired hybrid with diesel, spice and sweet berry notes. Do Si Dos 33 moves deep into Cookies and Gelato territory, with mint, lime, spice and dessert-style genetics. Gorilla Zkittlez Auto takes the collection in a sweeter direction, combining fruity, berry-led character with Gorilla genetics. Then GMO Auto flips the script entirely, bringing its unmistakable mix of garlic, earth and diesel.
So this is not a selection built around four strains that feel broadly the same.
It is a deliberately varied line-up, with four distinct genetic profiles and four very different reasons to take a closer look.
Why Barneys Farm Seeds Remain So Popular
Barney’s Farm is hardly a new name in the world of Cannabis Seeds.
The breeder traces its history back to 1986, giving the brand around four decades of involvement in cannabis genetics. Barney’s Farm also states that it has collected more than 40 Cannabis Cup wins during that time.
That history is only part of the story, though.
One reason Barneys Farm Seeds continue to attract attention is the sheer range of genetics found within the modern catalogue. Older influences sit alongside contemporary US-inspired names, dessert profiles, fruit-heavy varieties and newer Auto Seeds.
We’ve stocked Barney’s Farm at The Vault for years, so it is a breeder our customers will already know well. Our current Barney’s Farm collection also spans a substantial mix of Feminised Seeds and autoflowering genetics.
For this promotion, however, we’re narrowing that huge catalogue down to four picks worth knowing a little better.
Gary Payton Feminised Seeds: A Modern Headliner
It’s difficult to put together a modern Barneys Farm Seeds feature without Gary Payton Feminised grabbing some attention.
Even the name stands out.
Named after basketball legend Gary Payton, this Barney’s Farm interpretation combines Y Griega with Snowman. The breeder currently describes it as a 55% sativa and 45% indica hybrid.
The profile is equally interesting.
Barney’s Farm lists diesel, spicy herbs and sweet berry among its flavours, while the aroma moves through pungent, earthy and sweeter notes. The current breeder specification lists THC at 27%.
From a genetics collector’s point of view, Gary Payton is probably the most instantly recognisable modern name in this four-strain line-up.
It also gives this promotion a nice excuse to borrow a little sporting language.
If these four strains were heading into a draft, Gary Payton would have a very strong case for the number-one pick.
Barneys Farm Do Si Dos Feminised Seeds: Cookies Meet Gelato
Next up comes a strain with some seriously recognisable genetics behind it.
Customers searching for Barneys Farm Do Si Dos Feminised Seeds may also see the strain listed by the breeder as Dos Si Dos 33.
Barney’s Farm combines Dos Si Dos with Gelato #33, bringing together two names with deep roots in modern US cannabis genetics. The breeder describes the finished hybrid as 60% indica and 40% sativa.
Its sensory profile is quite different from Gary Payton.
Barney’s Farm lists mint, lime and spice on the flavour side, while the aroma combines cookies, sherbet and lime. The current breeder specification gives Dos Si Dos 33 a reported THC level of 28%.
The lineage is where this one becomes especially interesting.
According to Barney’s Farm, its Dos Si Dos side traces through OG Kush Breath, Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG influences, while Gelato #33 adds Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC heritage to the wider family tree.
That’s a lot of modern genetic history packed into one name.
Barneys Farm Gorilla Zkittlez Auto: Sweet Meets Gorilla
Now we move into the Auto Seeds featured in the promotion.
First is Barneys Farm Gorilla Zkittlez Auto, which customers may notice is now presented on the breeder’s current website under the shortened name Gorilla Z Auto.
The underlying genetics remain a combination of Gorilla Glue, Original Z and BF Super Auto #1. Barney’s Farm lists the strain as 75% indica and 25% sativa, with breeder-reported THC at 25%.
This is also easily the fruitiest member of our four-strain selection.
The official profile focuses on sweet fruit, berries and candy-like notes, backed by earthy elements from the wider Gorilla lineage.
That contrast makes it an easy strain to recognise within the group.
Gary Payton has its diesel and berry edge. Do Si Dos heads towards cookies, lime and sherbet. GMO gets wonderfully strange with garlic and diesel.
Gorilla Zkittlez Auto is the sweet one.
Barneys Farm GMO Auto: The Wild Card
Finally, we have Barneys Farm GMO Auto.
And if Gorilla Zkittlez Auto represents the sweeter side of modern Auto Seeds, GMO Auto seems determined to do almost everything differently.
Barney’s Farm combines its GMO strain with BF Super Auto #1 to create an 80% indica and 20% sativa autoflowering hybrid. Current breeder specifications list THC at 24%.
Then we get to the profile.
Diesel. Garlic. Earth.
There is no tropical fruit salad here.
GMO genetics have become famous for an unusual savoury character, and Barney’s Farm leans directly into that identity with this Auto version. The breeder lists diesel, garlic and earthy notes for both its flavour and aroma profile.
That makes GMO Auto arguably the biggest wildcard in this entire promotion.
It won’t necessarily be everyone’s first choice.
But for collectors attracted to unusual modern genetics rather than another sweet or fruity name, Barneys Farm GMO Auto has an identity all of its own.
Auto Seeds or Feminised Seeds: Which One Gets Your Pick?
This promotion has deliberately been split down the middle.
There are two Feminised Seeds and two Auto Seeds.
However, rather than treating one format as being “better” than the other, we think the more interesting comparison comes from the genetics themselves.
That diversity is what makes this particular Barneys Farm Seeds selection work.
There isn’t an obvious duplicate.
Each strain brings something different to the table, which also makes choosing a favourite for our giveaway slightly harder than we intended.
Sorry about that.
