When it comes to cannabis we aren’t just talking about the literal plants, but an entire community. From Amsterdam to the US to the UK and all over the world there are different types of cannabis communities. We have the weed connoisseurs, the cannabis chefs, the growing wizards and the media lovers. Cannabis has a whole history in music, art, politics, literature and tourism. Since weed plays such an important role in humanity there is an enormous amount of fascinating information available. One of my personal favourite ways to take in information is the mighty podcast. Partially because they are great for learning while doing something else which tends to fit with the modern busy lifestyle. The following are a variety of fantastic cannabis podcasts that any weed fan should listen to.
This is a great cover all kinda show that discusses all things music and current events. Presenters Jim Marty and Larry Mishkin talk largely about cannabis-inspired music both of the past and of the modern-day. We may not be surprised to find out that both of these fantastic podcasters are big Grateful Dead fans. Larry Mishkin is a cannabis attorney and Jim Marty is a Certified Public Accountant, so it is also fascinating to hear their takes on legalisation and how it will affect the economy and the world at large. It’s also pretty fun to hear some of their hilarious anecdotes.
This show is hosted by cannabis legend Adam Dunn who has been a huge part of the community since the early 90s. This is a perfect podcast for anyone who is just fascinated by cannabis culture. Adam Dunn brings on a wide variety of incredible guests who share their stories as Dunn himself shares his 25 years of experience. This podcast has been called funny, informative, and interesting. An ideal show for those who want to hear more about the industry at large and how it has formed over the last few decades.
This is another wonderful and hilarious general cannabis podcast hosted by comedian Rob Cantrell. Rob speaks to a variety of fascinating people about everything cannabis. They cover life, art, music, travel, films, comedy and anything else you can think of. This is a great podcast for anyone that likes something light-hearted and full of information without being too educationally structured.
Raising Cannabis Capital is a podcast for the financially minded toker out there. With a different specialist, each episode of this podcast covers the financial and investment aspects of the cannabis industry boom. Each episode brings in a cannabis company attempting to raise the capital to fund their business. This podcast goes into the way that cannabis affects our lives in a financial sense and how the economy is changing as attitudes change.
This podcast is hosted by Joel and Cam, two cannabis enthusiasts. One of which has been into weed for a very long time and the other is relatively new to it. This 18+ podcast looks into cannabis pop culture and contains a good deal of mature themes and language. Honestly, I’m not sure how most cannabis podcasts manage without mature content but there we are. This is a good podcast for anyone who wants something a little more adult, maybe a touch naughtier.
Bite Me: The Show About Edibles
For all of the foodies out there this show hosted by Marge is a must-listen. Marge talks about how to make amazing edibles at home with minimum effort. She talks about how to ensure edibles are tasty, simple to make and land you on your ass. Listen to someone who has already made all the mistakes so that you don’t have to. The perfect podcast for anyone who has wanted to dabble in edible cooking or baking but just hasn’t known where to start.
Growcast is THE podcast for all the growers out there. It is one of the worlds largest growing podcast hosted by the amazing Jordan River. This podcast deals with some of the most talented and educated people in the industry discussing everything a grower needs to know. They cover every aspect of growing from lighting to nutrients to soil to plant training, organic growing, I could go on and on but it’s probably best you just give the podcast a listen. Growing can be difficult, especially for beginners, so this podcast can be godsent to a new grower.
Cannabis Cultivation and Science Podcast
This podcast is all about science and cultivation, as the name suggests. Tad Hussey of KIS Organics hosts this cutting edge podcast that looks at the most up to date science and talks to some of the worlds top experts in cannabis cultivation. They cover the latest growing technologies, the latest scientific discoveries, and everything a serious grower or cannabis user could want to know. This is ideal for growers who want to improve their gardening game and create better crops.
Casually Baked, The Potcast: Discover Hemp and Cannabis 420
For all casual smokers, this is the ultimate podcast. The host Jo talks about lifestyle and navigating cannabis culture as a comfortably casual smoker. She talks about wellness and why more and more people are casually adopting cannabis as a part of their life. This podcast talks about smoking responsibly, smoking through stigma and how cannabis culture is evolving.
Finally, we will look at this full fitness podcast that discusses wellness, diet, being your best self and using cannabis as an aid to reach your full potential. Kyle Kingsbury talks about full performance in everyday life and how to be the very best version of yourself. He goes into physical, emotional, mental and spiritual practices. This is a great podcast for anyone who just wants to work on a little self improvement while still being a big fan of smoking. He speaks to a wide variety of experts in each area to help listeners gain a variety of knowledge.
