Cutest Games To Play Hight Part 2

Cutest Games To Play Hight Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of Cutest Games To Play High. In our last part we discussed a variety of games to suit any gamer or stoner palate. We looked at the emotional and stunningly designed epic Spiritfarer, the adorable and crime-filled Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, and the gorgeous yet challenging dungeon crawler Hades. I believe that cute games are the best way to relieve stress and they often get underrated because of their adorable nature. They can be just as difficult, involved, powerful and challenging as any other type of game. However, they are often amazing to look at and super calming so playing them stoned can be a real treat. Without further ado why don’t we move on to our final list of adorable and amazing video games.

Animal Crossing

So this one is maybe a little better known than most of the ones I threw at you in the last part. This game is probably one of the more famous switch games that everyone started playing during the pandemic. To be fair there is a good reason for that, it’s super relaxing. It’s my favourite game to just switch my brain off while I watch cartoons, and high it’s even better. If you’ve never played before then I’ll give you a run down of how it works. You start off as a little you that moved to an island run by a company of tanukis. Basically racoons but they are adorable. You make money in a variety of different ways as well as company points. With these you can build houses, grow your population, personalise your island and buy tickets to fly to other islands. You can also buy new hairstyles, clothes, accessories and bits for your house. Collecting items is another large part of the game and you can either build stuff with wood, iron ore etc. or you can find fossils for your museum, interesting bugs to sell to visiting animals, new species of fish. I love that the game plays in real time so you go back daily to see how your visitors and island dwellers are doing. It also makes the game harder to binge, giving you a little brain break without making you feel guilty. Definitely a top game for anyone who just wants to separate from reality and do tiny tasks for a while.

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles

Let’s go back to the slightly more obscure and have a look at this lovely game. In Yonder you play as a sort of Link style character running around the beautiful paradise of Gemea. Unfortunately, not all is well in this beautiful place as the Murk is slowly taking over. One of the main reasons why I have included this game is how it looks. The soft yet somehow bright colours, the beautiful animation and graphics, the calming vistas and super cute animals. Everything about it is going to tickle your high brain just right. It’s more open world than some of the other games I’ve mentioned so if you love to explore this game is ideal. The primary point of the game is to use creatures called Sprites to fight back the Murk and restore the beauty of nature. Of course there is loads of other stuff you can do such as buying and selling items, crafting with a variety of materials, creating a functioning farm and making friends with wildlife. This game is lovely and soft whilst also giving you enough plot to keep you focused and more than a few fun challenges. If you want something that’s closer to an RPG I would definitely suggest Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles.

Moonlighter

If you really prefer your old school graphics and lay out then Moonlighter is the game for you. Personally I love anything that sends you between different realms and dimensions because you know you’re going to get a real variety of places to visit. Your character is Will, a shopkeeper that dreams of greater things. He works in the village of Rynoka, located right next to an excavation site where a set of gates were uncovered. It is these gates that will allow adventurers to go from dimension to dimension in search of treasure and glory. Initially you can just run your shop, hire people, manage your gold, buy and sell items, nice soft brain friendly things. Once you start adventuring you’ll come up against a variety of foes and challenges that you can fight and conquer. For the way the game looks, again that sort of Pokemon partial birdseye vibe, the combat is actually pretty complex. You’ll have to work on timing, positioning, learning all about your enemies and environment, mastering your weapons and all sorts of other things in order to become an adventurer and a hero. I also love the interactive crafting mechanics as well as discovering artefacts and all manner of strange treasures. You can also make friends and all sorts of other lovely relaxed things. I love the graphics, I love how many different ways you can play and that it’s not all one style.

Hob

My final game for this 2 part article is called Hob. This is a fantastic and absolutely beautiful action adventure game where you play as Hob, a creature who is tasked with unraveling the mysteries of a world falling apart. One thing I love about this game is that you have to figure out Hob’s story as you go, not everything is handed to you through exposition. The planet you’re on is in a state of disrepair and in order to fix it you must solve a variety of puzzles to open new areas and then watch the planet change in front of you. This game is also just amazingly designed and open world so you can explore to your heart’s content. You get to make friends with strange sprites and battle bizarre creatures so there is something to suit every kind of gamer.
