Story Time
An eerie current of wind entered the office silently. One of our colleagues – our developer, started to sweat all of a sudden. His right hand was shaking while holding his computer mouse. The screens connected to his PC flicked little by little until fading into black.
A sudden thud floods the room. His inexpressive face lies on the desk. Without moving a single muscle of his body, his half-opened mouth started muttering an unintelligible sentence – “Don’t Fault The Vault”
As soon as I try to react and make my Office Manager aware of the situation, I can see him staring at an invisible point. From his wide-open mouth, the same words came out, energyless – Don’t Fault The Vault
I didn’t know what to do or where to run. My fate seemed to be written in bloody ink.
Accepting my doom, I just wanted to have my last smoke before becoming an empty human vase that repeats the same sentence over and over again.
When the subtle sound of my crumpling rolling paper was wishing me a so long goodbye, their repetitive mumbling sentences changed.
“Can I have a puff” – they stated in a unisonous voice.
That was it. I could feel cold shivers running up my spine. They weren’t just empty on the inside. They were also thirsty for my weed. My time came to an end.
