Given the legalities that surround Cannabis across the globe with some areas being legal to grow and others not and so on, it’s very hard to dispense advice. Here in the UK, we are only starting to see things change for the better when it comes to medical Cannabis, but we are still 5 to 15 years away from being fully legal on both recreational and medical.
This has an impact for us as a business as we are only allowed to sell seeds as souvenirs. This means we can’t be seen to offer advice either online or on the phone to our customer services team. We often get calls and emails about this with questions like;
How long does it take to grow cannabis seeds?
What’s the best lighting system to use?
What’s the best soil to use?
When these are asked we don’t answer, but try to refer you to a place where you can get some independent help. We have to trust that you come back to the Vault after you’ve done your research, but that’s the chance we take. I’m sure you like us enough to do that.
This blog has been put together as a brief resource for you to have your questions answered across the net.
1 – Cannabis Medical and Recreational Insider – LinkedIn Group
The LinkedIn group provides an opportunity for those seeking to participate in the growing legal cannabis industry to learn about opportunities; and cannabis industry participants with the ability to meet group members seeking opportunities.
Whether your interest is recreational or medical, the group will provide you with the latest information in what is now the world’s fastest-growing industry.
We also just published a post on the Cannabis World on LinkedIn – check it out here.
2 – First Time Marijuana Growers Forum Thread – Grasscity
Grasscity is one of the daddy’s of all the forums and resources. It has multiple threads that you can get involved in but if you’re a beginner this one is for you. It does what it says on the proverbial tin. Chip and and ask some questions and the community will be right there to help you out. Just make sure you come back to the Vault site to purchase your souvenir seeds when you’re ready to buy.
Maybe you’re looking to do some general research on Cannabis and just want to inform yourself more about this wonderful plant. Now sometimes, Wikipedia gets a bad name, given the fact, anyone can update it. That said, on Cannabis, the information seems to be fairly solid. Check it out for yourself via the link.
4 – How to Germinate Cannabis Seeds – Percy’s Grow Room YouTube Video
We need to re-iterate, these instructional videos are for those areas in which you can grow. For those lucky people, you will enjoy this instructional video from our friends at Percy’s Grow Room. Look out for Percy’s other social media channels too – they dispense some great advice to the benefit of the whole Cannabis Community.
5 – The Vault’s Pinterest Page
A shout-out for ourselves here. We have to say, we love Pinterest. It allows us to post our blogs, videos, infographics and even funny memes to the platform. It’s also a great educational platform too. Some of the infographics are great, especially when it comes to CBD and the medical side of Cannabis. Check our page and boards out and be sure to save any content that you like.
6 & 7 – Leafly and Reddit
Two huge websites, in the one post. Handy!
We all know who Leafly is right? If not, you’ve been stoned for way too long and need to wise up. They are a behemoth of Cannabis Content and should always be on your list of sites to visit when you’re looking for you Cannabis content. It just so happens they put a great post out about one of the other resources – Reddit.
In this list on Leafly, https://www.leafly.com/news/lifestyle/best-reddit-marijuana-groups, you will find the top 5 Cannabis-related Reddits on the web. Those are:
r/marijuana
r/dabs
r/trees
r/glasshead
r/microgrowery
We’ve been on Reddit too and it really is a blossoming community. Just make sure you go on and add value to the conversation. They don’t react kindly to spammers, so be careful!
8 – Cannabis Seed Directory – Weedmaps
Weedmaps is a community where medical marijuana patients find and connect with dispensaries. Given that, Weedmaps have some amazing content on there. In this particular page, they look in-depth at the humble Cannabis Seed. Check it out alongside there other content.
High Times, like Leafly are huge in the Cannabis World. They’ve got pages all over the net plus their own TV Channel. We find that their tweets are also of a high quality and very informative. Why don’t you join their Twitter following of 716,000 by giving them a follow.
10 – Team Vault Cannabis Seed Community – Facebook Group
Now, we might just be able to save you some time from visiting the pages above, if you just go to the recently set up #TeamVault Cannabis Seed Community Facebook Group.
It’s totally private so none of your friends can see that you’re in it, nor what you post. The group almost self-manages itself and you can find all types of content from fun Cannabis memes, to pics’ of grows and so on.
The Vault will not answer any growing or germination questions in there, but the community might be able to help you out. When you join, mention that you noticed us on the blog post.
Summary
There are endless places to find cannabis content online. Just make sure you use a trusted resource, as above. If you have any other suggestions, please drop them in the comments. We’d love to hear them.
