Can Weed Improve Orgasms and Sexual Function

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, I hope you’re all doing whatever it is that you like to do on this potentially nonsense sexy holiday. I’m sure a pretty decent number of you will have something romantic planned tonight, so you may want to have a read of this article. Studies have shown that smoking weed can improve your sexual gratification and your orgasms. I decided to take this theory out for a test run and as far as this humble writer is concerned, it’s definitely true. Of course, we shouldn’t just take this information as fact because of a little bit of anecdotal evidence. First of all it would make for a very short article and would also likely contain a good deal of information you don’t want to read. So let’s have a look at the various scientific studies that have led to this conclusion.

Who’s Looking Into This Issue?

Cannabis research obviously has been pretty difficult due to the laws and social attitudes surrounding it. Ther Journal of Sexual Medicine has decided to leap head first into figuring out whether or not cannabis improves sex. This study was population based in the US and considered the possible connection between cannabis use and frequency of sexy time. The study used a questionnaire to find out thousands of individual sexual cannabis related experiences.

The first myth they busted was that cannabis is connected to sexual impotence. During their study there was nothing that showed any sexual impairment related to smoking weed. In fact, the group that was smoking weed had 20% more sex than the weed free group. This initially focused on sexual function in men, so they study was then widened to look at sexual function in women. Out of the women who used cannabis before sex a majority felt an improvement in the quality of the sex. The majority of that majority said that cannabis consistantly increased their sexual pleasure. Independent research is currently being conducted to look into whether or not cannabis improves female lubrication and orgasm.

Why Does Cannabis Make Sex Better?

The working theory, especially as far as women are concerned, is that cannabis improves sex because it reduces stress and anxiety. Sex for women can be a grab bag of emotional and mental issues that can really ruin the whole thing. High anxiety can result in sexual discomfort as well as making the whole affair horribly awkward. Female lubrication and all the other things our lady bits do to get ready can be hindered if not ruined by sexual stress or anxiety. If we aren’t fully excited all of our inside bits won’t move around getting ready for whatever it is that’s on its way. If we are relaxed and happy it’s far easier for our bodies to help us have a good time.

This lack of anxiety and stress can also make it much easier for men and may help to achieve and hold onto full stimulation.

Let’s talk about sensitivity, another huge plus to smoking weed before sex. This also links to the anxiety aspect of boning but is less about genitals appropriately fitting together and is more about the increased experience and improved orgasm. Many people will have a few drinks if they are anxious about getting with a new partner, but that can dull sensitivity and cause certain things to have a “hard” time staying in the game. Many strains of weed will improve circulation and sensitivity which can not only just make the whole thing a lot more fun, but can massively improve orgasms in both genders.

Ladies, as a side note, I would definitely recommend having a quick puff beforehand if you want to get there. I mean I’m sure plenty of us either have female partners or competent male partners or special buzzing friends but we could always use a little extra help.

Best Strains for Sex

Now there is evidence to suggest weed can improve the sexual experience and help you get off let’s have a look at the best strains to use.

Northern Lights

This strain is all about relaxation and sensual skin tingling sensitivity. It has an amazing full body effect that is simultaneously relaxing and extremely invigorating. If you are fans of slightly less orthodox sex I would definitely recommend this strain for any form of edging play. If you don’t know what that is but want to I suggest you look it up because that’s not my job. The other excellent aspect of this strain is that it’s only 14% THC. This means it’s nice and strong but won’t make you want to suddenly pass out during. It has a flowering time of 9 – 10 weeks and will grow well indoors or outdoors.

Sour Diesel

This lovely strain is more of a happy and chill option. If you just want something that can help you relax and enjoy yourself, Sour Diesel is perfect. For some of us putting too much pressure on sex can really ruin your drive. The pressure makes it seem like a chore rather than like a lovely experience to share with someone. If you are having a date night with your partner then grab some Sour Diesel, have a nice dinner, maybe watch your favourite film, and just see what happens. It’s pretty likely that the increased mood and relaxation will get you both ready to go. The flowering time is 70 days and can be grown indoors or outdoors.

Wedding Cake

This strain is recommended for those who struggle with low libido. Many of us have a hard time getting excited, especially if you’re on meds, and it can be nice to get a little bit of help. This strain is euphoric and stimulating as well as being happy, motivating and relaxing. The THC level is 19% or higher so don’t go too crazy, but a few puffs of this will get you more riled up than a cat on heat. Although, probably don’t do the meowing butt wiggle, or you know what go ahead I’m not going to tell you how to have fun. This strain has a flowering time of 50 – 55 days and can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.

That’s all from me, have fun you little scamps.
