Cannabis Influencers

Cannabis Influencers

The word influencer is everywhere at that moment, and it’s no different in the Cannabis World. An influencer is someone who’s considered to be an expert in their field, who has thoughts and insights on their industry that they share this with their audience. That audience might then take some kind of action, like buy a product for example. You might even follow some already!

In this post, we look at five Cannabis Influencers you should be following.

1 – Cheryl Shuman – https://twitter.com/CherylShuman

Cheryl is the first name that comes to mind when I think of Cannabis Influencers. Yes, there are others I could have chosen, but when I first moved into the cannabis industry, Cheryl was the person I noticed the most on Social Media. She regularly appears on various media platforms and is often seen talking Cannabis on mainstream TV. Definitely worth a follow.

2 – Mike Tyson – https://www.instagram.com/miketyson/?hl=en

Cannabis Influencer Mike Tyson

Ok, so there will be bigger experts out there on Cannabis than Mike Tyson, but he has his own specialisms right? Not only that, he has a huge audience to market to for his new Cannabis Business – The Tyson Ranch. It’s a partnership with Cannabis Dispensary Planet 13, to create a 40 acre Cannabis Ranch. Sounds like quite a place.

3. Seth Rogan – https://www.facebook.com/sethrogen/

Cannabis Influencer Seth Rogen

We’ve all probably watched Seth acting in films such as Pineapple Express and SuperBad. He plays the likeable, cheeky boy in most of his movies (perhaps that’s because he’s stoned on set)? Like Mike Tyson, he’s tapping into his existing large audience to help promote his Cannabis Business ‘Houseplant’. Follow Seth on Facebook for more.

4. Dr Sanjay Gupta – https://www.instagram.com/drsanjaygupta/

Dr Gupta may not be famous to all of our audience, but in the USA he’s given his backing to medical Cannabis and has been very open about this in the media – making him a key figure. He’s also the Chief Medical Correspondent at CNN so he has a wide audience to share his views to. Follow him on Instagram here.

5 – Tommy Chong – https://www.instagram.com/heytommychong/

Tommy could be considered thee original influencer. As you’ll all know he’s the other half of Cheech Marin from the Cheech and Chong films. Since then Tommy has gone on to be a Cannabis activist and still openly backs the legalisation of Cannabis across the globe. Feel free to follow on Instagram.
