White Widow is definitely one of the most famous, most sited and most used strains on the market. She has been around for decades and has not once experienced a dip in popularity. Background
White Widow was first created by combining a Brazillian Landrace Sativa and a South Indian Indica. This is how she obtained her perfectly balanced effect. She first came onto the scene in the 90s and was immediately the star of every Amsterdam coffee shop. From then on she went on to win a number of awards and birthed a variety of fantastic new strains such as White Rhino, Blue Widow and White Russian, to name just a few. This version is the original White Widow crossed with Ruderalis strain to give it the shorter flowering time and ease of growth of an auto feminised strain.
Effects
One of the aspects that immediately set White Widow apart was its fantastic effects. This strain brings a perfect balance of Indica and Sativa, simultaneously euphoric, uplifting, relaxing and comfortable. Many have described it as beginning with a cerebral warmth that then trickles down through the body, spreading through the limbs like an uplifting internal bath. Since she is autoflowering her yield isn’t quite so impressive but still definitely hits the medium-high bracket. Since the plants are smaller and feminised more can fit into a single crop, making the slightly smaller yield less of an issue. This strain is extremely easy to grow which makes her ideal for all levels of grower.

White Widow has a unique flavour that is all at once very citrusy, very sweet and a little sour. This goes perfectly with its combination effect and only increases the extremely pleasant nature of the smoke.
