Weed can be a fantastic way to relax for several reasons. So why not take chilling out one step further and pair cannabis with a full-on spa day. Go out and grab some face masks, bubble bath, hair masks, hot stones, whatever you want really, and get ready for the ultimate relaxation experience. These are just a few strains that are best smoked with cucumbers over the eyes and while soaking in Epsom salts.
This exciting cross over is not only utterly relaxing but also very powerful. She is the ideal strain for just removing all that tension from the body. If you have someone willing to give you a massage so much the better. This strain comes from Afghani and Skunk #1 genetics, keeping that deliciously comfortable full-body chill-out. It has also maintained the deliciously potent and spicy Skunk/Afghani scent with a hint of sweetness in the back. The high can be pretty intense so many not the best ones to have in the bath. However, lying on the couch in a facemask listening to some chill music? Absolutely the perfect strain. Just make sure you have a big cup of tea or cold water nearby as movement may become difficult relatively quickly. Master Kush is a 90% Indica strain that is incredible for relaxation. She is an award winner with an excellent THC percentage and an amazing effect. The feel from this strain is a muscle-melting full-body relaxation that spreads through the body and releases all and any tension it is holding onto. Master Kush comes from Hindu Kush genetics and was originally developed in Amsterdam. Her THC level goes between 15 – 18%, which means she is great for chilling out without completely scrambling the brain. The plants themselves are extremely vigorous and supply the grower with huge yields of high-quality resinous buds. The flavour and scent are a mix of citrus, earth and sweetness. Despite the high being extremely relaxing it isn’t soporific and will still allow the smoker the energy to move around. This means she is great for maybe doing a full-body exfoliation then moisturise. Something that’s going to trigger that luxurious tactile sensation all over the body. Her flowering time is around 8 – 9 weeks and she will grow well indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.
This strain is famous for its relaxing properties and is often used medicinally by those suffering from stress, anxiety or depression. Strawberry Cough is not only extremely chill but is also uplifting and happy. This is the strain for anyone who has a full day planned out with various treatments and self-care activities. While relaxing it will allow you to keep moving and stay focused with just a hint of euphoria lacing each activity. The THC level is between 10 – 15% which is perfect for most daytime smokers. She will affect but won’t completely knock the brain sideways. The scent is sweet and fruity with a hint of fresh berries that will make the mouth water. Sometimes to really enjoy a spa day you need to make sure the brain is relaxed rather than just the body. If we can’t stop obsessing over the way our boss looked at us in the office two days ago, the hot stones aren’t going to be that much help. She has a THC level of 20.5%, so she definitely has a bit of strength behind her. The flavour and scent are a mix of sweet and citrus which ignites the taste buds in the most delicious way. Normally this strain is better grown indoors and has a flowering time of 9 weeks.
Our final strain is perfect for the end of the day when the body is clean and shiny and the muscles are loose and relaxed. This strain is calming, relaxing and extremely soothing. The best strain for just lying on the couch and reading a book, listening to music, watching a film, really whatever you need to wind down in your glistening new corporeal form. She allows for complete serenity and comfort without bringing on too much sleepiness or paranoia. Medicinally she is usually used to treat insomnia, nausea and pain in medicinal users. Recreationally she is just extremely soft and soothing, perhaps an excellent precursor to a couch nap. She was created by combining Afghani genetics with Tijuana Satva and Kerala. Again, for anyone who is struggling severely with depression or stress, this is the perfect strain to lift that veil so that you can enjoy looking after yourself. She is an easy to grow plant that produces impressive yields and usually has high levels of CBD. She has a relatively short flowering period of 55 – 65 days and she grows well indoors or outdoors.
