This first generation hybrid is particularly interesting; it is bred from two parents from very diverse backgrounds. On one side is a pure indica strain from the frosty land of Alaska and thus has bred into its offspring a great resistance to the cold.
The other half to this strain is from Kazakhstan and has a similar, familiar aroma to others from the region such as the Pakistani Citral or Afghani Kush. The resulting hybrid is 100% indica and shares many of the best traits with its parents.
As well as being resistant to the cold; making it ideal for indoor or outdoor cultivation; it is a very quick strain to flower. With optimal conditions, it can finish in around 45 days. This will increase slightly towards the start of October, as will with high THC levels.
The buds themselves will grow fat and bulbous, compacted and smelling fragrantly of lemons.
A seasoned grower will delight in the cultivation and care of this photoperiod strain while less experienced cultivators, as well as those in less than ideal climates, will still see great results in 6-8 weeks.
While many would agree that that feminised seeds are the easier options for growers cultivating one strain exclusively (as the males are not needed in this process), for a grower wanting to create a customised crop, a regular seed is the obvious choice.
The males produced are essential to the breeding process, as it is the pollen from the male plants that allows fertilisation to occur. The grower would then pick the phenotypes in line with their own preferences for the mother and father plant, allowing only these to breed.
The resulting offspring would then take on only the best traits from each strain and not those deemed weaker by the breeder.
It is this freedom to tailor a crop to one's own personal preferences that attracts many growers, particularly of the more traditional sort, to a regular seed, as opposed to its more user-friendly counterparts.
