KC Brains is a Dutch brand based in Holland. As a breeder KC Brains manages something that not many other companies can boast. High quality seeds at a phenomenally low price. He even stocks some of the world’s favourite strains such as Northern Lights, a mixture of the sativa and indica strains. This brand has been up and running since the late 70s and so of course KC Brains has a vast amount of breeding experience and certainly works in a simple, old school manner. He hasn't followed the trend set by other companies and hiked his prices up simply because he can. Instead he supplies the same quality for considerably less. In 2001 he won the Dutch Cannabis Cup with one of his strains.
In amongst his vast seed catalogue are his regular seeds.
 
Regular seeds are the trademark of the old school breeder. They are in no way genetically altered or tampered with; they are seeds in their purest form. Many people prefer the genetically altered varieties but unfortunately the alterations to the seeds genetics involved in this can weaken the strain. Many medical marijuana companies do not supply auto flowering or feminised seeds for fear of lessening the effect of the strain.
Regular Seeds produce a roughly half and half divide of male and female plants. This occasionally changes in favour of the females. For activities such as breeding it is by far the simplest method, the use of male and female plants as the parents. Not only is it very simple but the mother and father plant can be chosen at the discretion of the grower. This means that any genetic issues can be removed early on and a certain level of uniformity maintained. A seed will usually take on the best traits of each parent and so possibly even improve the quality of a crop.
