Another stellar strain from Ken Estes and the breeders at Grand Daddy Purple, CandyLand makes great use of a top-quality male of the breeder's flagship strain, Grand Daddy Purps. This time around, the Grand Daddy has been crossed with a specially selected Bay Platinum Cookies female. The result: a potent and high-yielding hybrid bred specifically for use by members of the medical marijuana community. THC content is moderate.
CandyLand is a vigorous plant that responds well to most grow methods. It is one of those low-maintenance throw-and-grow types of cannabis that almost literally explodes with massive numbers of delicious, tight, light green buds towards the end of the flowering cycle that shimmer with tempting white resin. Long gold pistils round out the aesthetics and speak highly of the quality of the end product.
When lit, CandyLand has a sweet, mouth-watering flavour and a perfectly balanced sativa-indica hit that produces a relaxing stone along with an upbeat, happy, brain-stimulating high. Its medical applications cannot be challenged, but it is also a very social strain - one that is best enjoyed in good company.
Indoor yields can top about 800 g per square metre and the plants reach a maximum height of about 15 cm. This makes them ideal candidates for growing even in the tightest of spaces like closets and shelves. They are also easy to uniformly light and are very predictable under the proper light cycles.
Outdoors, the specs are comparable. They grow slightly taller but still don't quite hit the one foot mark and will yield about 20-25% more product. Flowering time is about 8-9 weeks for the best quality.
