Cannabiogen are a brand that have travelled the world rooting out some of the rarest and finest strains of cannabis around. They became a little worried that these strains might die out during the prohibition of cannabis. So now they test, breed, and sell these seeds as collectors’ items. Like many companies they hope that in the future it will be legal to grow cannabis and when that happens they want these strains to still be widely available. They have travelled from Thailand, India, and Pakistan to the mountains of Jamaica and Columbia looking for these strains. When they find them they spend a good few years hand selecting specimens and testing them rigorously before they are allowed onto the market.
Their website has a complete catalogue of their products including strain information. They also supply a small growing guide, again simply for the future, to make sure that anyone purchasing them understands the conditions that the seeds expect.
Their catalogue is organised by seed type, one of these types is the ever popular auto flowering seed.
Auto flowering seeds are called so because they flower as a result of their age rather than as a result of light exposure. This gives them a good few advantages over the regular seed. For a start they do not experience the vegetative stage which means only one growing area. The fact that they do not experience this stage means that they have a very short life span. In turn this allows them to grow almost anywhere as well as maturing much faster than other plants, usually in about 8-10 weeks. They have the ability to grow indoors, outdoors, hydroponically, or in a greenhouse. Auto flowering seeds can also handle most weather conditions. Often auto flowering plants can be kept very short in stature without the yield being at all damaged which is excellent for space saving. All in all a very useful little genetic alteration.
Please remember that the growing of cannabis plants and the cultivation of seeds is illegal in some countries – please check the laws of your country and don’t be growing any plants if it is against your country’s laws.
