Black Bomb is a strain that certainly earns its name. It is one of the most vigorous growers around, it is robust and compact but truly an explosive strain. This strain does lack biodiversity which means they need around 4 weeks of growing time due to their compact structure. Flowering tends to start at the beginning of the third week and it will be ready for harvest just two months later. The plant is easy to grow in the sense that it is insect resistant and mould resistant, this makes it a perfect plant for less experienced growers. It has a sweet yet earthy flavour which certainly leaves its mark on the palate.
The main reason why this strain is so popular is its explosive effects. It is a strong Indica with an extremely high concentration of THC. This makes it an ideal evening strain with its full body relaxation. It is also often used as a night time medication for those who have trouble sleeping. It is effective towards pain, insomnia, stress and anxiety or even for those who suffer from night terrors.
Black Bomb is a feminised strain which means that it will only grow into female plants. These seed types have been increasing in popularity since their conception for a number of reasons. For growers and breeders alike they are more attractive because of their increased level of quality. 80% of strains which have been bred in this way have shown marked improvement and have been found be grow into very uniform crops. For growers specifically the attraction lies in the removal of the male plants. Most growers have no need for male plants and so around half of a regular crop is of no use to them.
This means that around half of a regular crop is wasted, and so is half of the money spent on them. Growers can now grow fuller and more productive crops. Feminised seeds can also be used by experienced breeders. It is possible, although difficult, to convince a female plant to produce pollen. This pollen is used in much the same way as the male pollen. It is used to fertilise another female and the resulting seeds will also be feminised.
This strain can be grown indoors and outdoors. Indoors it has a flowering time of 8 - 9 weeks and a yield of 400 - 500 g/m2. Outdoors it should be harvested in early October and give a yield of around 400 - 600 g/plant.
