Kaliman Seeds was created in the late 80s by a man named Rockster.  He had already been a breeder for about four decades and worked mainly with Cheese cloning genetics. He had tried and tested many different cheese strains and had felt that they were lacking in their similarity to the original strain. This, he felt, would not do.  So he started toying with genetics himself and after a lot of work he perfected his strain, and after a happy accident involving the sex of the plant, he was able to create a stable seed.  This strain that he had created was almost completely indistinguishable from the original plant and so he had achieved his goal.

Feminised seeds are the preferred choice for many growers out there since they almost completely eliminate the chance of any pesky male plants popping up in your crop.  Many people have no need for the male plants as they tend to just loaf about taking up space and annoying everyone. Using feminised seeds means that your crop will consist only of nice, useful female plants.  For many this saves them space, not wasting growing area on male seeds, and money, not needing to purchase twice the number of seeds to grow the desired number of females.

It's true that if you want to harvest your own seeds in the future this can be a little trickier when using feminised seeds. The feminised seed can produce male pollen but she has to be tricked into doing so which can be an arduous process.  However if you do succeed at this then the seeds that you harvest will create a new crop with better uniformity and potency than that born of a male plant.
