This delightfully named strain is a combination of two extremely popular parent plants, Blueberry and White Widow. Blueberry being an 80% Indica strain famous for its deliciously fruity smell and blueberry taste. Blueberry has also won first place in the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup. White Widow is widely agreed to be one of the most famous strains on the market. This Sativa/Indica combo has been sold in almost every Dutch coffee shop since it was first created in 1990. It has also been used as a parent plant in many other highly successful breeding programmes. It is the parent of strains such as White Rhino, White Russian, and Blue Widow. Fruity Widow is Indica dominant and takes on Blueberry's powerful scent and deep, long lasting, effect. It is also a nice addition to any garden with its medium to hight yields and its large crystal-covered buds. Its THC level is very high.
This strain is sold in the form of feminised seeds. Feminising seeds means that they will only grow into female plants. When it comes to growing cannabis the only plants that produce buds are the female plants, the males are usually kept on hand to produce pollen. Regular seeds will grow into a roughly 50/50 split of male and female plants. This means that the males take up a lot of space which could be better used on the females. Even for those who need the pollen for breeding there is a way of doing this without using male plants. Female plants can be convinced to create a very similar feminised pollen. This pollen can then be used to fertilise a female plant and create new feminised seeds. However this breeding process is far more complex and should only be attempted by experienced breeders. Feminised seeds were really designed for growers who have no interest in breeding. They are the best way to fully utilise space, money, and time which many breeders do not have in abundance. Feminised seeds will also often be higher in quality and in uniformity than regular seeds.
This strain, as previously mentioned, has a medium - high yield and can grow to a height of 150 - 250 cm. It takes around 8-10 weeks to flower and should be harvested, if grown outdoors, in October. Fruity Widow can be grown indoors or outdoors making it accessible to all types of grower.
Please remember that the growing of cannabis plants and the cultivation of seeds is illegal in some countries - please check the laws of your country and don't be growing any plants if it is against your country's laws
